Neoplasm of the ileum with signs of bleeding
Patient M, 44 years old, sought help in the proctology department of the KOKL. It is known from the anamnesis that the patient has been suffering from anaemia of unclear genesis throughout her life, but over the past 7 months, her haemoglobin began to decrease to 50 g/l. The patient underwent multiple red blood cell transfusions, was constantly prescribed iron supplements (the patient attributed the presence of black stools to this), and underwent two bone marrow punctures due to suspected myeloma, but the diagnosis was not confirmed. Colonoscopy and gastroscopy were unremarkable. CT scan of the abdomen was performed twice and no cause of anaemia was found.
